About the Chef/Owner

Although Louis (actually named Luigi after his grandfather) was born in Brooklyn, New York, he spent his first 4 years in Sicily, Italy. With both his parents being from Italian descent, and growing up in a predominately Italian neighborhood in Brooklyn, Louis has been surrounded by the Italian culture, food and way of life all of his life. His first career out of college was on Wall Street, but he quickly lost interest in a 9 to 5 desk job. He began spending some time at his uncle’s Italian restaurant in New Jersey and discovered that he had a flair for cooking! He not only discovered that he cooked well, he really enjoyed it…..and that was the end of his career on Wall Street.

Louis opened his first restaurant in Brooklyn, New York called Luigi’s. The restaurant was a great little neighborhood pizzeria that kids enjoyed hanging out at and business was good. A few years down the road an opportunity presented itself to Louis in Houston, Tx. Louis and his wife of 34 years, Josephine, made the move to Houston along with their 3 daughters, Danielle, Lisa and Tina. Louis and Josephine reside in Friendswood, Tx . The oldest daughter Danielle, her husband Chris and their sons, Dominic and Dillon, reside nearby in League City, Tx. Lisa and Tina also live nearby.

About Pomodoro’s

Pomodoro’s Pasta and Pizzeria opened its doors on Nasa Road One in 2005. Now, everyone in the Bay Area knows that pomodoro means “tomato” in Italian! Even though Pomodoro’s was situated in between four other, long time established, family owned Italian restaurants, it turns out that we found their niche. What makes Pomodoro’s so unique? One is definitely the Brooklyn style pizza...as some of our customers have quoted “this is the best pizza I’ve had since I left New York”! The quality of food that we serve for the price is certainly the best in the area. Where else can you enjoy the freshest seafood in our “Linguine Pomodoro ala Tina” for just under $17.00? Did we mention that this dish comes with salad and garlic bread? By the way, our garlic bread is out of this world…just ask our customers! Or, our mouth watering Chicken Parmigiana with pasta, salad and garlic bread for under $15.00? Quality food at incredible prices is what today’s families are looking for! Try visiting us at lunch time Monday thru Friday for even lower prices!

So, as our lines grew longer and our demand grew higher we took some of our customers’ advice and opened Pomodoro’s Cucina Italiana in South Shore Harbor. Our popularity has increased and Pomodoro’s has now become a household name in the Clear Lake and League City areas!

Our catering services have also increased over the years. From small birthday parties, to weddings to school and church functions. Most high schools in the Clear Lake, Webster, Friendswood and League City area now consider us their number one caterer for all school functions!

We’d like to thank all of our loyal and new customers! We truly appreciate your business and hope that we continue to give you a great dining experience!
